Greetings from Spain!
For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with me on Twitter, I’m currently on holiday in Spain and I’m absolutely loving it! Ten whole days of shopping, relaxing on the beach and swimming around in my new bikini – oh, and a bit of blogging too!
Being on holiday has got me thinking about souvenirs, and what I should be bringing back for myself, my friends and my family. I love to bring back little mementos when I go away, and it’s a great way to share your enjoyment with your loved ones, letting them know that you didn’t forget about them when you were on holiday. However, it can sometimes be difficult to think beyond the typical crap sold in tourist trap shops. Everywhere I look I see tacky little souvenir shops selling keyrings, ashtrays and miscellaneous objects that I can only really describe as tat. I don’t want to bring back a load of old clutter, I wanted to bring back more meaningful items than the offerings of the kiosks just off the beach. At first I was lacking inspiration, but looking around the town of Calpe yesterday gave me plenty of ideas I’d love to share with you!
