Review: Superdrug Solait Suncare

Review: Superdrug Solait Suncare

White Rabbit! I can’t believe it’s July already – where is this year going?

Here in Britain we’re currently in the midst of a two-day heatwave and, being as white as a sheet and a hayfever sufferer like I am, I’m hating it. I’m sincerely hoping for a quick return of the rain and big grey clouds I’m used to as a Mancunian!

Although sunbathing is my idea of hell, sometimes you can’t avoid sun exposure. That’s when you have to reach for the sun cream, but finding decent cruelty-free sun protection can be tricky business. Holiday Souvenir Ideas That Aren’t Useless Junk

Holiday Souvenir Ideas That Aren't Useless Junk

Greetings from Spain!

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with me on Twitter, I’m currently on holiday in Spain and I’m absolutely loving it! Ten whole days of shopping, relaxing on the beach and swimming around in my new bikini – oh, and a bit of blogging too!

Being on holiday has got me thinking about souvenirs, and what I should be bringing back for myself, my friends and my family. I love to bring back little mementos when I go away, and it’s a great way to share your enjoyment with your loved ones, letting them know that you didn’t forget about them when you were on holiday. However, it can sometimes be difficult to think beyond the typical crap sold in tourist trap shops. Everywhere I look I see tacky little souvenir shops selling keyrings, ashtrays and miscellaneous objects that I can only really describe as tat. I don’t want to bring back a load of old clutter, I wanted to bring back more meaningful items than the offerings of the kiosks just off the beach. At first I was lacking inspiration, but looking around the town of Calpe yesterday gave me plenty of ideas I’d love to share with you!

Hello one and all, I’m back with another sewing project!

Since my mum’s birthday was on April 9th, I decided that I was going to make her a really special present to show my appreciation for the sewing machine.

HELLO SUMMER!

I’ve been waiting to say that for ages. Pack away your jackets and black tights, the heat has finally arrived! I haven’t worn a jacket since March and every time I’ve left the house I have regretted that decision – Hull looks so warm through a window, but we don’t half get some nasty cold winds. Finally I can bear my arms without getting goosebumps!

With summer finally here, it’s time to talk about sun, sea and swimwear.¬†Many women get nervous at the thought of wearing swimming costumes and bikinis, and just two weeks ago I would have counted myself in this category too. Review: Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo
