For the music lover

Sennheiser HD201 Closed Dynamic Stereo Headphones – £16.00

These noise-cancelling headphones are amazing for their price. They offer great sound quality and they are so comfortable – perfect for drowning out background noise, whether you’re on a long-haul flight to somewhere exotic or you’re trying your best to ignore distracting voices in a noisy room. Plus, the long 3 metre cable means that you won’t accidentally pull these off your head during a vigorous gym work out, which is always a bonus. I have owned these headphones for nearly a year now and I would never dream of doing an all-nighter in the uni library without them, they’re such a great piece of kit for the money!

For the creative soul

Q and A a Day: 5-Year Journal – £13.79

This journal is a lovely way to reminisce and chronicle your thoughts, tendencies and feelings, but only requires a commitment of a couple of lines a day! I have to admit, I’m not too brilliant at keeping up with mine… I tend to save the questions up for a couple of days, maybe a week, and write them all in one go. It is so fun to see how your answers change over the years and there are several variations you can purchase – there’s one for mums, teens, kids and even couples. This really is the gift that keeps on giving – for five years, no less.

For the make-up addict

Sleek Make Up i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Vintage Romance’– £4.49

As you’ll know if you’ve followed Poppy alla Norma for a while, I adore Sleek i-Divine palettes. For the price I really don’t think you can do better, both in terms of the vast colour range and the consistently great quality. Although I don’t own Vintage Romance, after swatching this palette in Superdrug and falling in love with the other three colourways I own, I can safely say this would make an excellent present. The pinks and purples are perfect for the party season, don’t you think? The perfect way to add a pop of colour to a NYE LBD! As a bonus, because of the amazingly low price on Amazon (a saving of £3.51 off the RRP), you can even throw in an Ecotools Eye Enhancing Duo Brush Set and get change from a tenner. You really can’t go wrong with the price!

For the gamer

Guinness World Records 2016 Gamer’s Edition – £4.00

Let’s face it – it can be difficult to buy gifts for the gamer in your life that come in at under £40. We can’t all afford to buy our loved ones the latest games, but Amazon has the solution to our problems. Everyone loves a read through a Guinness World Records book at Christmas (that and the Top Ten of Everything, but I haven’t seen a copy of the TToE for years!) and this version is no different. It’s full of gaming records that will be interesting to both male and female, and younger and older gamers alike. Along with free Amazon Prime delivery, this edition is half price until 31st December, so it makes a perfect last-minute stocking filler. Why not throw in a Chocolate Game Controller as well?

For the comedian

Cards Against Humanity: UK Edition – £20.00

Although you can play Cards Against Humanity for free online, nothing beats having a physical copy of the game for playing with your mates on a drunken night in. Just in case you haven’t heard of it before, you can read all about it here – all you really need to know is that it’s rude, hilarious and really addictive. It’s the perfect game to have on hand for Christmas Day too – personally, I really don’t fancy watching TWO WHOLE HOURS of Downton Abbey, so I’ll definitely be pushing for a wholesome family game of Cards Against Humanity… because who doesn’t want to play CAH with their grandma?!

For the chocoholic

Hasslachers Solid Bar Colombian Drinking Chocolate – £5.29

Everyone loves a bit of chocolate at Christmas, but it can get a bit repetitive receiving the same boxes of choccies over and over again. Treat your favourite chocoholic to something a little different this Christmas by giving them this solid bar of drinking chocolate. It’s suitable for vegans, coeliacs and contains no added sugar, so pretty much everyone can enjoy this chocolatey treat.

For Buddy the Elf (and other Christmas lovers)

Novelty Christmas Santa Hat – Father Christmas Legs Stuck in Chimney – £4.99

How about making the cutest kid you know look even cuter by putting a silly hat on them? Guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of even the grinchiest members of your family, this hat is perfect for kids and Christmas-loving adults alike – you know the person that has an advent calendar app on their phone, wears nothing but horrible festive jumpers throughout the entirety of December and sings Christmas songs almost constantly? You’ll be their best friend forever if you put this hat in their stocking!

For the person who has everything Gift Card – from £10.00

For that person who is just impossible to buy for, vouchers are the perfect way to give a gift you can guarantee they’ll like. You can buy Amazon vouchers worth £10 minimum, all the way up to a maximum of £500. If you happen to miss the last posting deadline before Christmas, you can always go printable with your voucher, or email it directly to your recipient, perfect for long-distance gift giving.
